Cala Liberotto

On the eastern coast of Sardinia, just 10 km from the ancient medieval village of Orosei, is Calaliberotto. This tourist destination is populated in the summer by both locals and Italian and foreign tourists, and is one of the most beautiful destinations in Sardinia. Easy to reach, Calaliberotto is ideal for a seaside vacation dedicated to relaxation or entertainment, thanks to the crystal clear sea and its wonderful beaches surrounded by the scent of Mediterranean vegetation, typical pine and juniper trees of a still miraculously unspoiled island. But Calaliberotto is also a sports adventure and a fascinating discovery. Its beaches are enchanting and offer the opportunity to enjoy marine life in a coast with a strong environmental footprint located on the eastern coast of Sardinia. The area is characterized by a set of houses, villas and hotels that extend under a pine forest, alternating with Mediterranean vegetation and junipers. Calaliberotto is renowned for its tranquility, it almost seems like this place has remained frozen in the 1960s. Along the main road shaded by tall pines, a series of sandy coves and beaches of various sizes can be reached just a few meters away. The  fine white sand, surrounded by the blue sea and clear waters that are low for several meters, alternating with inlets and cliffs. In some places, the rocky outcrops also allow for some diving into the blue sea. Calaliberotto boasts a great variety of natural environments, starting from the wetlands close to the coasts. Particularly renowned is the Bidderosa nature reserve, but the mountain also offers very interesting views and evidence of the traditional rural life of the area.
